Chapter 1

à  ãÌÄáÀøÅé òÈîåÉñ, àÂùÑÆø-äÈéÈä áÇðÌÉ÷ÀãÄéí îÄúÌÀ÷åÉòÇ:  àÂùÑÆø çÈæÈä òÇì-éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì áÌÄéîÅé òËæÌÄéÌÈä îÆìÆêÀ-éÀäåÌãÈä, åÌáÄéîÅé éÈøÈáÀòÈí áÌÆï-éåÉàÈùÑ îÆìÆêÀ éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì--ùÑÀðÈúÇéÄí, ìÄôÀðÅé äÈøÈòÇùÑ. 1 The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
á  åÇéÌÉàîÇø--éÀäåÈä îÄöÌÄéÌåÉï éÄùÑÀàÈâ, åÌîÄéøåÌùÑÈìÇÄí éÄúÌÅï ÷åÉìåÉ; åÀàÈáÀìåÌ ðÀàåÉú äÈøÉòÄéí, åÀéÈáÅùÑ øÉàùÑ äÇëÌÇøÀîÆì.  {ô} 2 And he said: the LORD roareth from Zion, and uttereth His voice from Jerusalem; and the pastures of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither. {P}
â  ëÌÉä, àÈîÇø éÀäåÈä, òÇì-ùÑÀìÉùÑÈä ôÌÄùÑÀòÅé ãÇîÌÆùÒÆ÷, åÀòÇì-àÇøÀáÌÈòÈä ìÉà àÂùÑÄéáÆðÌåÌ:  òÇì-ãÌåÌùÑÈí áÌÇçÂøËöåÉú äÇáÌÇøÀæÆì, àÆú-äÇâÌÄìÀòÈã. 3 For thus saith the LORD: For three transgressions of Damascus, yea, for four, I will not reverse it: because they have threshed Gilead with sledges of iron.
ã  åÀùÑÄìÌÇçÀúÌÄé àÅùÑ, áÌÀáÅéú çÂæÈàÅì; åÀàÈëÀìÈä, àÇøÀîÀðåÉú áÌÆï-äÂãÈã. 4 So will I send a fire into the house of Hazael, and it shall devour the palaces of Ben-hadad;
ä  åÀùÑÈáÇøÀúÌÄé, áÌÀøÄéçÇ ãÌÇîÌÆùÒÆ÷, åÀäÄëÀøÇúÌÄé éåÉùÑÅá îÄáÌÄ÷ÀòÇú-àÈåÆï, åÀúåÉîÅêÀ ùÑÅáÆè îÄáÌÅéú òÆãÆï; åÀâÈìåÌ òÇí-àÂøÈí ÷ÄéøÈä, àÈîÇø éÀäåÈä.  {ô} 5 And I will break the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from Bikath-Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Beth-eden; and the people of Aram shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the LORD. {P}
å  ëÌÉä, àÈîÇø éÀäåÈä, òÇì-ùÑÀìÉùÑÈä ôÌÄùÑÀòÅé òÇæÌÈä, åÀòÇì-àÇøÀáÌÈòÈä ìÉà àÂùÑÄéáÆðÌåÌ:  òÇì-äÇâÀìåÉúÈí âÌÈìåÌú ùÑÀìÅîÈä, ìÀäÇñÀâÌÄéø ìÆàÁãåÉí. 6 Thus saith the LORD: For three transgressions of Gaza, yea, for four, I will not reverse it: because they carried away captive a whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom.
æ  åÀùÑÄìÌÇçÀúÌÄé àÅùÑ, áÌÀçåÉîÇú òÇæÌÈä; åÀàÈëÀìÈä, àÇøÀîÀðÉúÆéäÈ. 7 So will I send a fire on the wall of Gaza, and it shall devour the palaces thereof;
ç  åÀäÄëÀøÇúÌÄé éåÉùÑÅá îÅàÇùÑÀãÌåÉã, åÀúåÉîÅêÀ ùÑÅáÆè îÅàÇùÑÀ÷ÀìåÉï; åÇäÂùÑÄéáåÉúÄé éÈãÄé òÇì-òÆ÷ÀøåÉï, åÀàÈáÀãåÌ ùÑÀàÅøÄéú ôÌÀìÄùÑÀúÌÄéí--àÈîÇø, àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä.  {ô} 8 And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon; and I will turn My hand against Ekron, and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord GOD. {P}
è  ëÌÉä, àÈîÇø éÀäåÈä, òÇì-ùÑÀìÉùÑÈä ôÌÄùÑÀòÅé-öÉø, åÀòÇì-àÇøÀáÌÈòÈä ìÉà àÂùÑÄéáÆðÌåÌ:  òÇì-äÇñÀâÌÄéøÈí âÌÈìåÌú ùÑÀìÅîÈä, ìÆàÁãåÉí, åÀìÉà æÈëÀøåÌ, áÌÀøÄéú àÇçÄéí. 9 Thus saith the LORD: For three transgressions of Tyre, yea, for four, I will not reverse it: because they delivered up a whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant.
é  åÀùÑÄìÌÇçÀúÌÄé àÅùÑ, áÌÀçåÉîÇú öÉø; åÀàÈëÀìÈä, àÇøÀîÀðåÉúÆéäÈ.  {ô} 10 So will I send a fire on the wall of Tyre, and it shall devour the palaces thereof. {P}
éà  ëÌÉä, àÈîÇø éÀäåÈä, òÇì-ùÑÀìÉùÑÈä ôÌÄùÑÀòÅé àÁãåÉí, åÀòÇì-àÇøÀáÌÈòÈä ìÉà àÂùÑÄéáÆðÌåÌ:  òÇì-øÈãÀôåÉ áÇçÆøÆá àÈçÄéå, åÀùÑÄçÅú øÇçÂîÈéå, åÇéÌÄèÀøÉó ìÈòÇã àÇôÌåÉ, åÀòÆáÀøÈúåÉ ùÑÀîÈøÈä ðÆöÇç. 11 Thus saith the LORD: For three transgressions of Edom, yea, for four, I will not reverse it: because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever.
éá  åÀùÑÄìÌÇçÀúÌÄé àÅùÑ, áÌÀúÅéîÈï; åÀàÈëÀìÈä, àÇøÀîÀðåÉú áÌÈöÀøÈä.  {ô} 12 So will I send a fire upon Teman, and it shall devour the palaces of Bozrah. {P}
éâ  ëÌÉä, àÈîÇø éÀäåÈä, òÇì-ùÑÀìÉùÑÈä ôÌÄùÑÀòÅé áÀðÅé-òÇîÌåÉï, åÀòÇì-àÇøÀáÌÈòÈä ìÉà àÂùÑÄéáÆðÌåÌ:  òÇì-áÌÄ÷ÀòÈí äÈøåÉú äÇâÌÄìÀòÈã, ìÀîÇòÇï äÇøÀçÄéá àÆú-âÌÀáåÌìÈí. 13 Thus saith the LORD: For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, yea, for four, I will not reverse it: because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border.
éã  åÀäÄöÌÇúÌÄé àÅùÑ áÌÀçåÉîÇú øÇáÌÈä, åÀàÈëÀìÈä àÇøÀîÀðåÉúÆéäÈ; áÌÄúÀøåÌòÈä áÌÀéåÉí îÄìÀçÈîÈä, áÌÀñÇòÇø áÌÀéåÉí ñåÌôÈä. 14 So will I kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind;
èå  åÀäÈìÇêÀ îÇìÀëÌÈí, áÌÇâÌåÉìÈä; äåÌà åÀùÒÈøÈéå éÇçÀãÌÈå, àÈîÇø éÀäåÈä.  {ô} 15 And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith the LORD. {P}

Chapter 2

à  ëÌÉä, àÈîÇø éÀäåÈä, òÇì-ùÑÀìÉùÑÈä ôÌÄùÑÀòÅé îåÉàÈá, åÀòÇì-àÇøÀáÌÈòÈä ìÉà àÂùÑÄéáÆðÌåÌ:  òÇì-ùÒÈøÀôåÉ òÇöÀîåÉú îÆìÆêÀ-àÁãåÉí, ìÇùÌÒÄéã. 1 Thus saith the LORD: For three transgressions of Moab, yea, for four, I will not reverse it: because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime.
á  åÀùÑÄìÌÇçÀúÌÄé-àÅùÑ áÌÀîåÉàÈá, åÀàÈëÀìÈä àÇøÀîÀðåÉú äÇ÷ÌÀøÄéÌåÉú; åÌîÅú áÌÀùÑÈàåÉï îåÉàÈá, áÌÄúÀøåÌòÈä áÌÀ÷åÉì ùÑåÉôÈø. 2 So will I send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kerioth; and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the horn;
â  åÀäÄëÀøÇúÌÄé ùÑåÉôÅè, îÄ÷ÌÄøÀáÌÈäÌ; åÀëÈì-ùÒÈøÆéäÈ àÆäÁøåÉâ òÄîÌåÉ, àÈîÇø éÀäåÈä.  {ô} 3 And I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith the LORD. {P}
ã  ëÌÉä, àÈîÇø éÀäåÈä, òÇì-ùÑÀìÉùÑÈä ôÌÄùÑÀòÅé éÀäåÌãÈä, åÀòÇì-àÇøÀáÌÈòÈä ìÉà àÂùÑÄéáÆðÌåÌ:  òÇì-îÈàÃñÈí àÆú-úÌåÉøÇú éÀäåÈä, åÀçË÷ÌÈéå ìÉà ùÑÈîÈøåÌ, åÇéÌÇúÀòåÌí ëÌÄæÀáÅéäÆí, àÂùÑÆø-äÈìÀëåÌ àÂáåÉúÈí àÇçÂøÅéäÆí. 4 Thus saith the LORD: For three transgressions of Judah, yea, for four, I will not reverse it: because they have rejected the law of the LORD, and have not kept His statutes, and their lies have caused them to err, after which their fathers did walk.
ä  åÀùÑÄìÌÇçÀúÌÄé àÅùÑ, áÌÄéäåÌãÈä; åÀàÈëÀìÈä, àÇøÀîÀðåÉú éÀøåÌùÑÈìÈÄí.  {ô} 5 So will I send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem. {P}
å  ëÌÉä, àÈîÇø éÀäåÈä, òÇì-ùÑÀìÉùÑÈä ôÌÄùÑÀòÅé éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì, åÀòÇì-àÇøÀáÌÈòÈä ìÉà àÂùÑÄéáÆðÌåÌ:  òÇì-îÄëÀøÈí áÌÇëÌÆñÆó öÇãÌÄé÷, åÀàÆáÀéåÉï áÌÇòÂáåÌø ðÇòÂìÈéÄí. 6 Thus saith the LORD: For three transgressions of Israel, yea, for four, I will not reverse it: because they sell the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes;
æ  äÇùÌÑÉàÂôÄéí òÇì-òÂôÇø-àÆøÆõ áÌÀøÉàùÑ ãÌÇìÌÄéí, åÀãÆøÆêÀ òÂðÈåÄéí éÇèÌåÌ; åÀàÄéùÑ åÀàÈáÄéå, éÅìÀëåÌ àÆì-äÇðÌÇòÂøÈä, ìÀîÇòÇï çÇìÌÅì, àÆú-ùÑÅí ÷ÈãÀùÑÄé. 7 That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the humble; and a man and his father go unto the same maid, to profane My holy name;
ç  åÀòÇì-áÌÀâÈãÄéí çÂáËìÄéí éÇèÌåÌ, àÅöÆì ëÌÈì-îÄæÀáÌÅçÇ; åÀéÅéï òÂðåÌùÑÄéí éÄùÑÀúÌåÌ, áÌÅéú àÁìÉäÅéäÆí. 8 And they lay themselves down beside every altar upon clothes taken in pledge, and in the house of their God they drink the wine of them that have been fined.
è  åÀàÈðÉëÄé äÄùÑÀîÇãÀúÌÄé àÆú-äÈàÁîÉøÄé, îÄôÌÀðÅéäÆí, àÂùÑÆø ëÌÀâÉáÇäÌ àÂøÈæÄéí âÌÈáÀäåÉ, åÀçÈñÉï äåÌà ëÌÈàÇìÌåÉðÄéí; åÈàÇùÑÀîÄéã ôÌÄøÀéåÉ îÄîÌÇòÇì, åÀùÑÈøÈùÑÈéå îÄúÌÈçÇú. 9 Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.
é  åÀàÈðÉëÄé äÆòÁìÅéúÄé àÆúÀëÆí, îÅàÆøÆõ îÄöÀøÈéÄí; åÈàåÉìÅêÀ àÆúÀëÆí áÌÇîÌÄãÀáÌÈø àÇøÀáÌÈòÄéí ùÑÈðÈä, ìÈøÆùÑÆú àÆú-àÆøÆõ äÈàÁîÉøÄé. 10 Also I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and led you forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorites.
éà  åÈàÈ÷Äéí îÄáÌÀðÅéëÆí ìÄðÀáÄéàÄéí, åÌîÄáÌÇçåÌøÅéëÆí ìÄðÀæÄøÄéí; äÇàÇó àÅéï-æÉàú áÌÀðÅé éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì, ðÀàËí-éÀäåÈä. 11 And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazirites. Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith the LORD.
éá  åÇúÌÇùÑÀ÷åÌ àÆú-äÇðÌÀæÄøÄéí, éÈéÄï; åÀòÇì-äÇðÌÀáÄéàÄéí öÄåÌÄéúÆí ìÅàîÉø, ìÉà úÌÄðÌÈáÀàåÌ. 12 But ye gave the Nazirites wine to drink; and commanded the prophets, saying: 'Prophesy not.'
éâ  äÄðÌÅä àÈðÉëÄé îÅòÄé÷, úÌÇçÀúÌÅéëÆí, ëÌÇàÂùÑÆø úÌÈòÄé÷ äÈòÂâÈìÈä, äÇîÀìÅàÈä ìÈäÌ òÈîÄéø. 13 Behold, I will make it creak under you, as a cart creaketh that is full of sheaves.
éã  åÀàÈáÇã îÈðåÉñ îÄ÷ÌÈì, åÀçÈæÈ÷ ìÉà-éÀàÇîÌÅõ ëÌÉçåÉ; åÀâÄáÌåÉø, ìÉà-éÀîÇìÌÅè ðÇôÀùÑåÉ. 14 And flight shall fail the swift, and the strong shall not exert his strength, neither shall the mighty deliver himself;
èå  åÀúÉôÅùÒ äÇ÷ÌÆùÑÆú ìÉà éÇòÂîÉã, åÀ÷Çì áÌÀøÇâÀìÈéå ìÉà éÀîÇìÌÅè; åÀøÉëÅá äÇñÌåÌñ, ìÉà éÀîÇìÌÅè ðÇôÀùÑåÉ. 15 Neither shall he stand that handleth the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver himself; neither shall he that rideth the horse deliver himself;
èæ  åÀàÇîÌÄéõ ìÄáÌåÉ, áÌÇâÌÄáÌåÉøÄéí--òÈøåÉí éÈðåÌñ áÌÇéÌåÉí-äÇäåÌà, ðÀàËí-éÀäåÈä.  {ô} 16 And he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith the LORD. {P}

Chapter 3

à  ùÑÄîÀòåÌ àÆú-äÇãÌÈáÈø äÇæÌÆä, àÂùÑÆø ãÌÄáÌÆø éÀäåÈä òÂìÅéëÆí--áÌÀðÅé éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì:  òÇì ëÌÈì-äÇîÌÄùÑÀôÌÈçÈä, àÂùÑÆø äÆòÁìÅéúÄé îÅàÆøÆõ îÄöÀøÇéÄí ìÅàîÉø. 1 Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up out of the land of Egypt, saying:
á  øÇ÷ àÆúÀëÆí éÈãÇòÀúÌÄé, îÄëÌÉì îÄùÑÀôÌÀçåÉú äÈàÂãÈîÈä; òÇì-ëÌÅï àÆôÀ÷Éã òÂìÅéëÆí, àÅú ëÌÈì-òÂå‍ÉðÉúÅéëÆí. 2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth; therefore I will visit upon you all your iniquities.
â  äÂéÅìÀëåÌ ùÑÀðÇéÄí, éÇçÀãÌÈå, áÌÄìÀúÌÄé, àÄí-ðåÉòÈãåÌ. 3 Will two walk together, except they have agreed?
ã  äÂéÄùÑÀàÇâ àÇøÀéÅä áÌÇéÌÇòÇø, åÀèÆøÆó àÅéï ìåÉ; äÂéÄúÌÅï ëÌÀôÄéø ÷åÉìåÉ îÄîÌÀòÉðÈúåÉ, áÌÄìÀúÌÄé àÄí-ìÈëÈã. 4 Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? Will a young lion give forth his voice out of his den, if he have taken nothing?
ä  äÂúÄôÌÉì öÄôÌåÉø òÇì-ôÌÇç äÈàÈøÆõ, åÌîåÉ÷ÅùÑ àÅéï ìÈäÌ; äÂéÇòÂìÆä-ôÌÇç, îÄï-äÈàÂãÈîÈä, åÀìÈëåÉã, ìÉà éÄìÀëÌåÉã. 5 Will a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where there is no lure for it? Will a snare spring up from the ground, and have taken nothing at all?
å  àÄí-éÄúÌÈ÷Çò ùÑåÉôÈø áÌÀòÄéø, åÀòÈí ìÉà éÆçÁøÈãåÌ; àÄí-úÌÄäÀéÆä øÈòÈä áÌÀòÄéø, åÇéäåÈä ìÉà òÈùÒÈä. 6 Shall the horn be blown in a city, and the people not tremble? Shall evil befall a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
æ  ëÌÄé ìÉà éÇòÂùÒÆä àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä, ãÌÈáÈø, ëÌÄé àÄí-âÌÈìÈä ñåÉãåÉ, àÆì-òÂáÈãÈéå äÇðÌÀáÄéàÄéí. 7 For the Lord GOD will do nothing, but He revealeth His counsel unto His servants the prophets.
ç  àÇøÀéÅä ùÑÈàÈâ, îÄé ìÉà éÄéøÈà; àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä ãÌÄáÌÆø, îÄé ìÉà éÄðÌÈáÅà. 8 The lion hath roared, who will not fear? The Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy?
è  äÇùÑÀîÄéòåÌ òÇì-àÇøÀîÀðåÉú áÌÀàÇùÑÀãÌåÉã, åÀòÇì-àÇøÀîÀðåÉú áÌÀàÆøÆõ îÄöÀøÈéÄí; åÀàÄîÀøåÌ, äÅàÈñÀôåÌ òÇì-äÈøÅé ùÑÉîÀøåÉï, åÌøÀàåÌ îÀäåÌîÉú øÇáÌåÉú áÌÀúåÉëÈäÌ, åÇòÂùÑåÌ÷Äéí áÌÀ÷ÄøÀáÌÈäÌ. 9 Proclaim it upon the palaces at Ashdod, and upon the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say: 'Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the great confusions therein, and the oppressions in the midst thereof.'
é  åÀìÉà-éÈãÀòåÌ òÂùÒåÉú-ðÀëÉçÈä, ðÀàËí-éÀäåÈä; äÈàåÉöÀøÄéí çÈîÈñ åÈùÑÉã, áÌÀàÇøÀîÀðåÉúÅéäÆí.  {ô} 10 For they know not to do right, saith the LORD, who store up violence and robbery in their palaces. {P}
éà  ìÈëÅï, ëÌÉä àÈîÇø àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä, öÇø, åÌñÀáÄéá äÈàÈøÆõ; åÀäåÉøÄéã îÄîÌÅêÀ òËæÌÅêÀ, åÀðÈáÉæÌåÌ àÇøÀîÀðåÉúÈéÄêÀ. 11 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: An adversary, even round about the land! And he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be spoiled.
éá  ëÌÉä, àÈîÇø éÀäåÈä, ëÌÇàÂùÑÆø éÇöÌÄéì äÈøÉòÆä îÄôÌÄé äÈàÂøÄé ùÑÀúÌÅé ëÀøÈòÇéÄí, àåÉ áÀãÇì-àÉæÆï--ëÌÅï éÄðÌÈöÀìåÌ áÌÀðÅé éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì, äÇéÌÉùÑÀáÄéí áÌÀùÑÉîÀøåÉï, áÌÄôÀàÇú îÄèÌÈä, åÌáÄãÀîÆùÑÆ÷ òÈøÆùÒ. 12 Thus saith the LORD: As the shepherd rescueth out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear, so shall the children of Israel that dwell in Samaria escape with the corner of a couch, and the leg of a bed.
éâ  ùÑÄîÀòåÌ åÀäÈòÄéãåÌ, áÌÀáÅéú éÇòÂ÷Éá--ðÀàËí-àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä, àÁìÉäÅé äÇöÌÀáÈàåÉú. 13 Hear ye, and testify against the house of Jacob, saith the Lord GOD, the God of hosts.
éã  ëÌÄé, áÌÀéåÉí ôÌÈ÷ÀãÄé ôÄùÑÀòÅé-éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì--òÈìÈéå:  åÌôÈ÷ÇãÀúÌÄé, òÇì-îÄæÀáÌÀçåÉú áÌÅéú-àÅì, åÀðÄâÀãÌÀòåÌ ÷ÇøÀðåÉú äÇîÌÄæÀáÌÅçÇ, åÀðÈôÀìåÌ ìÈàÈøÆõ. 14 For in the day that I shall visit the transgressions of Israel upon him, I will also punish the altars of Beth-el, and the horns of the altar shall be cut off, and fall to the ground.
èå  åÀäÄëÌÅéúÄé áÅéú-äÇçÉøÆó, òÇì-áÌÅéú äÇ÷ÌÈéÄõ; åÀàÈáÀãåÌ áÌÈúÌÅé äÇùÌÑÅï, åÀñÈôåÌ áÌÈúÌÄéí øÇáÌÄéí--ðÀàËí-éÀäåÈä.  {ñ} 15 And I will smite the winter-house with the summer-house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall have an end, saith the LORD. {S}

Chapter 4

á  ðÄùÑÀáÌÇò àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä áÌÀ÷ÈãÀùÑåÉ, ëÌÄé äÄðÌÅä éÈîÄéí áÌÈàÄéí òÂìÅéëÆí; åÀðÄùÌÒÈà àÆúÀëÆí áÌÀöÄðÌåÉú, åÀàÇçÂøÄéúÀëÆï áÌÀñÄéøåÉú ãÌåÌâÈä. 2 The Lord GOD hath sworn by His holiness: Lo, surely the days shall come upon you, that ye shall be taken away with hooks, and your residue with fish-hooks.
â  åÌôÀøÈöÄéí úÌÅöÆàðÈä, àÄùÌÑÈä ðÆâÀãÌÈäÌ; åÀäÄùÑÀìÇëÀúÌÆðÈä äÇäÇøÀîåÉðÈä, ðÀàËí-éÀäåÈä. 3 And ye shall go out at the breaches, every one straight before her; and ye shall be cast into Harmon, saith the LORD.
ã  áÌÉàåÌ áÅéú-àÅì åÌôÄùÑÀòåÌ, äÇâÌÄìÀâÌÈì äÇøÀáÌåÌ ìÄôÀùÑÉòÇ; åÀäÈáÄéàåÌ ìÇáÌÉ÷Æø æÄáÀçÅéëÆí, ìÄùÑÀìÉùÑÆú éÈîÄéí îÇòÀùÒÀøÉúÅéëÆí. 4 Come to Beth-el, and transgress, to Gilgal, and multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices in the morning, and your tithes after three days;
ä  åÀ÷ÇèÌÅø îÅçÈîÅõ úÌåÉãÈä, åÀ÷ÄøÀàåÌ ðÀãÈáåÉú äÇùÑÀîÄéòåÌ:  ëÌÄé ëÅï àÂäÇáÀúÌÆí áÌÀðÅé éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì, ðÀàËí àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä. 5 And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving of that which is leavened, and proclaim freewill-offerings and publish them; for so ye love to do, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
å  åÀâÇí-àÂðÄé ðÈúÇúÌÄé ìÈëÆí ðÄ÷ÀéåÉï ùÑÄðÌÇéÄí, áÌÀëÈì-òÈøÅéëÆí, åÀçÉñÆø ìÆçÆí, áÌÀëÉì îÀ÷åÉîÉúÅéëÆí; åÀìÉà-ùÑÇáÀúÌÆí òÈãÇé, ðÀàËí-éÀäåÈä. 6 And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places; yet have ye not returned unto Me, saith the LORD.
æ  åÀâÇí àÈðÉëÄé îÈðÇòÀúÌÄé îÄëÌÆí àÆú-äÇâÌÆùÑÆí, áÌÀòåÉã ùÑÀìÉùÑÈä çÃãÈùÑÄéí ìÇ÷ÌÈöÄéø, åÀäÄîÀèÇøÀúÌÄé òÇì-òÄéø àÆçÈú, åÀòÇì-òÄéø àÇçÇú ìÉà àÇîÀèÄéø; çÆìÀ÷Èä àÇçÇú úÌÄîÌÈèÅø, åÀçÆìÀ÷Èä àÂùÑÆø-ìÉà-úÇîÀèÄéø òÈìÆéäÈ úÌÄéáÈùÑ. 7 And I also have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest; and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city; one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.
ç  åÀðÈòåÌ ùÑÀúÌÇéÄí ùÑÈìÉùÑ òÈøÄéí àÆì-òÄéø àÇçÇú, ìÄùÑÀúÌåÉú îÇéÄí--åÀìÉà éÄùÒÀáÌÈòåÌ; åÀìÉà-ùÑÇáÀúÌÆí òÈãÇé, ðÀàËí-éÀäåÈä. 8 So two or three cities wandered unto one city to drink water, and were not satisfied; yet have ye not returned unto Me, saith the LORD.
è  äÄëÌÅéúÄé àÆúÀëÆí, áÌÇùÌÑÄãÌÈôåÉï åÌáÇéÌÅøÈ÷åÉï--äÇøÀáÌåÉú âÌÇðÌåÉúÅéëÆí åÀëÇøÀîÅéëÆí åÌúÀàÅðÅéëÆí åÀæÅéúÅéëÆí, éÉàëÇì äÇâÌÈæÈí; åÀìÉà-ùÑÇáÀúÌÆí òÈãÇé, ðÀàËí-éÀäåÈä.  {ñ} 9 I have smitten you with blasting and mildew; the multitude of your gardens and your vineyards and your fig-trees and your olive-trees hath the palmer-worm devoured; yet have ye not returned unto Me, saith the LORD. {S}
é  ùÑÄìÌÇçÀúÌÄé áÈëÆí ãÌÆáÆø, áÌÀãÆøÆêÀ îÄöÀøÇéÄí--äÈøÇâÀúÌÄé áÇçÆøÆá áÌÇçåÌøÅéëÆí, òÄí ùÑÀáÄé ñåÌñÅéëÆí; åÈàÇòÂìÆä áÌÀàÉùÑ îÇçÂðÅéëÆí, åÌáÀàÇôÌÀëÆí, åÀìÉà-ùÑÇáÀúÌÆí òÈãÇé, ðÀàËí-éÀäåÈä. 10 I have sent among you the pestilence in the way of Egypt; your young men have I slain with the sword, and have carried away your horses; and I have made the stench of your camp to come up even into your nostrils; yet have ye not returned unto Me, saith the LORD.
éà  äÈôÇëÀúÌÄé áÈëÆí, ëÌÀîÇäÀôÌÅëÇú àÁìÉäÄéí àÆú-ñÀãÉí åÀàÆú-òÂîÉøÈä, åÇúÌÄäÀéåÌ, ëÌÀàåÌã îËöÌÈì îÄùÌÒÀøÅôÈä; åÀìÉà-ùÑÇáÀúÌÆí òÈãÇé, ðÀàËí-éÀäåÈä. 11 I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a brand plucked out of the burning; yet have ye not returned unto Me, saith the LORD.
éá  ìÈëÅï, ëÌÉä àÆòÁùÒÆä-ìÌÀêÈ éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì:  òÅ÷Æá ëÌÄé-æÉàú àÆòÁùÒÆä-ìÌÈêÀ, äÄëÌåÉï ìÄ÷ÀøÇàú-àÁìÉäÆéêÈ éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì. 12 Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel; because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.
éâ  ëÌÄé äÄðÌÅä éåÉöÅø äÈøÄéí åÌáÉøÅà øåÌçÇ, åÌîÇâÌÄéã ìÀàÈãÈí îÇä-ùÌÒÅçåÉ, òÉùÒÅä ùÑÇçÇø òÅéôÈä, åÀãÉøÅêÀ òÇì-áÌÈîÃúÅé àÈøÆõ--éÀäåÈä àÁìÉäÅé-öÀáÈàåÉú, ùÑÀîåÉ.  {ô} 13 For, lo, He that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth; the LORD, the God of hosts, is His name. {P}

Chapter 5

à  ùÑÄîÀòåÌ àÆú-äÇãÌÈáÈø äÇæÌÆä, àÂùÑÆø àÈðÉëÄé ðÉùÒÅà òÂìÅéëÆí ÷ÄéðÈä--áÌÅéú éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì. 1 Hear ye this word which I take up for a lamentation over you, O house of Israel:
á  ðÈôÀìÈä ìÉà-úåÉñÄéó ÷åÌí, áÌÀúåÌìÇú éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì; ðÄèÌÀùÑÈä òÇì-àÇãÀîÈúÈäÌ, àÅéï îÀ÷ÄéîÈäÌ. 2 The virgin of Israel is fallen, she shall no more rise; she is cast down upon her land, there is none to raise her up.
â  ëÌÄé ëÉä àÈîÇø àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä, äÈòÄéø äÇéÌÉöÅàú àÆìÆó úÌÇùÑÀàÄéø îÅàÈä; åÀäÇéÌåÉöÅàú îÅàÈä úÌÇùÑÀàÄéø òÂùÒÈøÈä, ìÀáÅéú éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì. 3 For thus saith the Lord GOD: The city that went forth a thousand shall have a hundred left, and that which went forth a hundred shall have ten left, of the house of Israel.
ã  ëÌÄé ëÉä àÈîÇø éÀäåÈä, ìÀáÅéú éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì:  ãÌÄøÀùÑåÌðÄé, åÄçÀéåÌ. 4 For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel: Seek ye Me, and live;
ä  åÀàÇì-úÌÄãÀøÀùÑåÌ, áÌÅéú-àÅì, åÀäÇâÌÄìÀâÌÈì ìÉà úÈáÉàåÌ, åÌáÀàÅø ùÑÆáÇò ìÉà úÇòÂáÉøåÌ:  ëÌÄé äÇâÌÄìÀâÌÈì âÌÈìÉä éÄâÀìÆä, åÌáÅéú-àÅì éÄäÀéÆä ìÀàÈåÆï. 5 But seek not Beth-el, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beer-sheba; for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Beth-el shall come to nought.
å  ãÌÄøÀùÑåÌ àÆú-éÀäåÈä, åÄçÀéåÌ:  ôÌÆï-éÄöÀìÇç ëÌÈàÅùÑ áÌÅéú éåÉñÅó, åÀàÈëÀìÈä åÀàÅéï-îÀëÇáÌÆä ìÀáÅéú-àÅì. 6 Seek the LORD, and live--lest He break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and it devour, and there be none to quench it in Bethel--
æ  äÇäÉôÀëÄéí ìÀìÇòÂðÈä, îÄùÑÀôÌÈè; åÌöÀãÈ÷Èä, ìÈàÈøÆõ äÄðÌÄéçåÌ. 7 Ye who turn judgment to wormwood, and cast righteousness to the ground;
ç  òÉùÒÅä ëÄéîÈä åÌëÀñÄéì, åÀäÉôÅêÀ ìÇáÌÉ÷Æø öÇìÀîÈåÆú, åÀéåÉí, ìÇéÀìÈä äÆçÀùÑÄéêÀ; äÇ÷ÌåÉøÅà ìÀîÅé-äÇéÌÈí, åÇéÌÄùÑÀôÌÀëÅí òÇì-ôÌÀðÅé äÈàÈøÆõ--éÀäåÈä ùÑÀîåÉ. 8 Him that maketh the Pleiades and Orion, and bringeth on the shadow of death in the morning, and darkeneth the day into night; that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth; the LORD is His name;
è  äÇîÌÇáÀìÄéâ ùÑÉã, òÇì-òÈæ; åÀùÑÉã, òÇì-îÄáÀöÈø éÈáåÉà. 9 That causeth destruction to flash upon the strong, so that destruction cometh upon the fortress.
é  ùÒÈðÀàåÌ áÇùÌÑÇòÇø, îåÉëÄéçÇ; åÀãÉáÅø úÌÈîÄéí, éÀúÈòÅáåÌ. 10 They hate him that reproveth in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.
éà  ìÈëÅï éÇòÇï áÌåÉùÑÇñÀëÆí òÇì-ãÌÈì, åÌîÇùÒÀàÇú-áÌÇø úÌÄ÷ÀçåÌ îÄîÌÆðÌåÌ--áÌÈúÌÅé âÈæÄéú áÌÀðÄéúÆí, åÀìÉà-úÅùÑÀáåÌ áÈí; ëÌÇøÀîÅé-çÆîÆã ðÀèÇòÀúÌÆí, åÀìÉà úÄùÑÀúÌåÌ àÆú-éÅéðÈí. 11 Therefore, because ye trample upon the poor, and take from him exactions of wheat; ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them, ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine thereof.
éá  ëÌÄé éÈãÇòÀúÌÄé øÇáÌÄéí ôÌÄùÑÀòÅéëÆí, åÇòÂöËîÄéí çÇèÌÉàúÅéëÆí; öÉøÀøÅé öÇãÌÄé÷ ìÉ÷ÀçÅé ëÉôÆø, åÀàÆáÀéåÉðÄéí áÌÇùÌÑÇòÇø äÄèÌåÌ. 12 For I know how manifold are your transgressions, and how mighty are your sins; ye that afflict the just, that take a ransom, and that turn aside the needy in the gate.
éâ  ìÈëÅï, äÇîÌÇùÒÀëÌÄéì áÌÈòÅú äÇäÄéà--éÄãÌÉí:  ëÌÄé òÅú øÈòÈä, äÄéà. 13 Therefore the prudent doth keep silence in such a time; for it is an evil time.
éã  ãÌÄøÀùÑåÌ-èåÉá åÀàÇì-øÈò, ìÀîÇòÇï úÌÄçÀéåÌ; åÄéäÄé-ëÅï éÀäåÈä àÁìÉäÅé-öÀáÈàåÉú, àÄúÌÀëÆí--ëÌÇàÂùÑÆø àÂîÇøÀúÌÆí. 14 Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live; and so the LORD, the God of hosts, will be with you, as ye say.
èå  ùÒÄðÀàåÌ-øÈò åÀàÆäÁáåÌ èåÉá, åÀäÇöÌÄéâåÌ áÇùÌÑÇòÇø îÄùÑÀôÌÈè; àåÌìÇé, éÆçÁðÇï éÀäåÈä àÁìÉäÅé-öÀáÈàåÉú--ùÑÀàÅøÄéú éåÉñÅó.  {ñ} 15 Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish justice in the gate; it may be that the LORD, the God of hosts, will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph. {S}
èæ  ìÈëÅï ëÌÉä-àÈîÇø éÀäåÈä àÁìÉäÅé öÀáÈàåÉú, àÂãÉðÈé, áÌÀëÈì-øÀçÉáåÉú îÄñÀôÌÅã, åÌáÀëÈì-çåÌöåÉú éÉàîÀøåÌ äåÉ-äåÉ; åÀ÷ÈøÀàåÌ àÄëÌÈø àÆì-àÅáÆì, åÌîÄñÀôÌÅã àÆì-éåÉãÀòÅé ðÆäÄé. 16 Therefore thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the Lord: Lamentation shall be in all the broad places, and they shall say in all the streets: 'Alas! alas!' and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and proclaim lamentation to such as are skilful of wailing.
éæ  åÌáÀëÈì-ëÌÀøÈîÄéí, îÄñÀôÌÅã:  ëÌÄé-àÆòÁáÉø áÌÀ÷ÄøÀáÌÀêÈ, àÈîÇø éÀäåÈä.  {ô} 17 And in all vineyards shall be lamentation; for I will pass through the midst of thee, saith the LORD. {P}
éç  äåÉé äÇîÌÄúÀàÇåÌÄéí, àÆú-éåÉí éÀäåÈä:  ìÈîÌÈä-æÌÆä ìÈëÆí éåÉí éÀäåÈä, äåÌà-çÉùÑÆêÀ åÀìÉà-àåÉø. 18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! Wherefore would ye have the day of the LORD? It is darkness, and not light.
éè  ëÌÇàÂùÑÆø éÈðåÌñ àÄéùÑ îÄôÌÀðÅé äÈàÂøÄé, åÌôÀâÈòåÉ äÇãÌÉá; åÌáÈà äÇáÌÇéÄú--åÀñÈîÇêÀ éÈãåÉ òÇì-äÇ÷ÌÄéø, åÌðÀùÑÈëåÉ äÇðÌÈçÈùÑ. 19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; and went into the house and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.
ë  äÂìÉà-çÉùÑÆêÀ éåÉí éÀäåÈä, åÀìÉà-àåÉø; åÀàÈôÅì, åÀìÉà-ðÉâÇäÌ ìåÉ. 20 Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? Even very dark, and no brightness in it?
ëà  ùÒÈðÅàúÄé îÈàÇñÀúÌÄé, çÇâÌÅéëÆí; åÀìÉà àÈøÄéçÇ, áÌÀòÇöÌÀøÉúÅéëÆí. 21 I hate, I despise your feasts, and I will take no delight in your solemn assemblies.
ëá  ëÌÄé àÄí-úÌÇòÂìåÌ-ìÄé òÉìåÉú åÌîÄðÀçÉúÅéëÆí, ìÉà àÆøÀöÆä; åÀùÑÆìÆí îÀøÄéàÅéëÆí, ìÉà àÇáÌÄéè. 22 Yea, though ye offer me burnt-offerings and your meal-offerings, I will not accept them; neither will I regard the peace-offerings of your fat beasts.
ëâ  äÈñÅø îÅòÈìÇé, äÂîåÉï ùÑÄøÆéêÈ; åÀæÄîÀøÇú ðÀáÈìÆéêÈ, ìÉà àÆùÑÀîÈò. 23 Take thou away from Me the noise of thy songs; and let Me not hear the melody of thy psalteries.
ëã  åÀéÄâÌÇì ëÌÇîÌÇéÄí, îÄùÑÀôÌÈè; åÌöÀãÈ÷Èä, ëÌÀðÇçÇì àÅéúÈï. 24 But let justice well up as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.
ëä  äÇæÌÀáÈçÄéí åÌîÄðÀçÈä äÄâÌÇùÑÀúÌÆí-ìÄé áÇîÌÄãÀáÌÈø, àÇøÀáÌÈòÄéí ùÑÈðÈä--áÌÅéú éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì. 25 Did ye bring unto Me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?
ëå  åÌðÀùÒÈàúÆí, àÅú ñÄëÌåÌú îÇìÀëÌÀëÆí, åÀàÅú, ëÌÄéÌåÌï öÇìÀîÅéëÆí--ëÌåÉëÇá, àÁìÉäÅéëÆí, àÂùÑÆø òÂùÒÄéúÆí, ìÈëÆí. 26 So shall ye take up Siccuth your king and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.
ëæ  åÀäÄâÀìÅéúÄé àÆúÀëÆí, îÅäÈìÀàÈä ìÀãÇîÌÈùÒÆ÷:  àÈîÇø éÀäåÈä àÁìÉäÅé-öÀáÈàåÉú, ùÑÀîåÉ.  {ô} 27 Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith He, whose name is the LORD God of hosts. {P}

Chapter 6

à  äåÉé äÇùÌÑÇàÂðÇðÌÄéí áÌÀöÄéÌåÉï, åÀäÇáÌÉèÀçÄéí áÌÀäÇø ùÑÉîÀøåÉï; ðÀ÷ËáÅé øÅàùÑÄéú äÇâÌåÉéÄí, åÌáÈàåÌ ìÈäÆí áÌÅéú éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì. 1 Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and to them that are secure in the mountain of Samaria, the notable men of the first of the nations, to whom the house of Israel come!
á  òÄáÀøåÌ ëÇìÀðÅä åÌøÀàåÌ, åÌìÀëåÌ îÄùÌÑÈí çÂîÇú øÇáÌÈä; åÌøÀãåÌ âÇú-ôÌÀìÄùÑÀúÌÄéí, äÂèåÉáÄéí îÄï-äÇîÌÇîÀìÈëåÉú äÈàÅìÌÆä--àÄí-øÇá âÌÀáåÌìÈí, îÄâÌÀáËìÀëÆí. 2 Pass ye unto Calneh, and see, and from thence go ye to Hamath the great; then go down to Gath of the Philistines; are they better than these kingdoms? or is their border greater than your border?
â  äÇîÀðÇãÌÄéí, ìÀéåÉí øÈò; åÇúÌÇâÌÄùÑåÌï, ùÑÆáÆú çÈîÈñ. 3 Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;
ã  äÇùÌÑÉëÀáÄéí òÇì-îÄèÌåÉú ùÑÅï, åÌñÀøËçÄéí òÇì-òÇøÀùÒåÉúÈí; åÀàÉëÀìÄéí ëÌÈøÄéí îÄöÌÉàï, åÇòÂâÈìÄéí îÄúÌåÉêÀ îÇøÀáÌÅ÷. 4 That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall;
ä  äÇôÌÉøÀèÄéí, òÇì-ôÌÄé äÇðÌÈáÆì, ëÌÀãÈåÄéã, çÈùÑÀáåÌ ìÈäÆí ëÌÀìÅé-ùÑÄéø. 5 That thrum on the psaltery, that devise for themselves instruments of music, like David;
å  äÇùÌÑÉúÄéí áÌÀîÄæÀøÀ÷Åé éÇéÄï, åÀøÅàùÑÄéú ùÑÀîÈðÄéí éÄîÀùÑÈçåÌ; åÀìÉà ðÆçÀìåÌ, òÇì-ùÑÅáÆø éåÉñÅó. 6 That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments; but they are not grieved for the hurt of Joseph.
æ  ìÈëÅï òÇúÌÈä éÄâÀìåÌ, áÌÀøÉàùÑ âÌÉìÄéí; åÀñÈø, îÄøÀæÇç ñÀøåÌçÄéí. 7 Therefore now shall they go captive at the head of them that go captive, and the revelry of them that stretched themselves shall pass away.
ç  ðÄùÑÀáÌÇò àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä áÌÀðÇôÀùÑåÉ, ðÀàËí-éÀäåÈä àÁìÉäÅé öÀáÈàåÉú, îÀúÈàÅá àÈðÉëÄé àÆú-âÌÀàåÉï éÇòÂ÷Éá, åÀàÇøÀîÀðÉúÈéå ùÒÈðÅàúÄé; åÀäÄñÀâÌÇøÀúÌÄé, òÄéø åÌîÀìÉàÈäÌ. 8 The Lord GOD hath sworn by Himself, saith the LORD, the God of hosts: I abhor the pride of Jacob, and hate his palaces; and I will deliver up the city with all that is therein.
è  åÀäÈéÈä, àÄí-éÄåÌÈúÀøåÌ òÂùÒÈøÈä àÂðÈùÑÄéí áÌÀáÇéÄú àÆçÈã--åÈîÅúåÌ. 9 And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.

éà  ëÌÄé-äÄðÌÅä éÀäåÈä îÀöÇåÌÆä, åÀäÄëÌÈä äÇáÌÇéÄú äÇâÌÈãåÉì øÀñÄéñÄéí; åÀäÇáÌÇéÄú äÇ÷ÌÈèÉï, áÌÀ÷ÄòÄéí. 11 For, behold, the LORD commandeth, and the great house shall be smitten into splinters, and the little house into chips.
éá  äÇéÀøËöåÌï áÌÇñÌÆìÇò ñåÌñÄéí, àÄí-éÇçÂøåÉùÑ áÌÇáÌÀ÷ÈøÄéí:  ëÌÄé-äÂôÇëÀúÌÆí ìÀøÉàùÑ îÄùÑÀôÌÈè, åÌôÀøÄé öÀãÈ÷Èä ìÀìÇòÂðÈä. 12 Do horses run upon the rocks? Doth one plow there with oxen? that ye have turned justice into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood;
éâ  äÇùÌÒÀîÅçÄéí, ìÀìÉà ãÈáÈø:  äÈàÉîÀøÄéí--äÂìåÉà áÀçÈæÀ÷ÅðåÌ, ìÈ÷ÇçÀðåÌ ìÈðåÌ ÷ÇøÀðÈéÄí. 13 Ye that rejoice in a thing of nought, that say: 'Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?'
éã  ëÌÄé äÄðÀðÄé îÅ÷Äéí òÂìÅéëÆí áÌÅéú éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì, ðÀàËí-éÀäåÈä àÁìÉäÅé äÇöÌÀáÈàåÉú--âÌåÉé; åÀìÈçÂöåÌ àÆúÀëÆí îÄìÌÀáåÉà çÂîÈú, òÇã-ðÇçÇì äÈòÂøÈáÈä.  {ô} 14 For, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith the LORD, the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entrance of Hamath unto the Brook of the Arabah. {P}

Chapter 7

à  ëÌÉä äÄøÀàÇðÄé, àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä, åÀäÄðÌÅä éåÉöÅø âÌÉáÇé, áÌÄúÀçÄìÌÇú òÂìåÉú äÇìÌÈ÷ÆùÑ; åÀäÄðÌÅä-ìÆ÷ÆùÑ--àÇçÇø, âÌÄæÌÅé äÇîÌÆìÆêÀ. 1 Thus the Lord GOD showed me; and, behold, He formed locusts in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and, lo, it was the latter growth after the king's mowings.
á  åÀäÈéÈä, àÄí-ëÌÄìÌÈä ìÆàÁëåÉì àÆú-òÅùÒÆá äÈàÈøÆõ, åÈàÉîÇø àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä ñÀìÇç-ðÈà, îÄé éÈ÷åÌí éÇòÂ÷Éá:  ëÌÄé ÷ÈèÉï, äåÌà. 2 And if it had come to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land--so I said: O Lord GOD, forgive, I beseech Thee; how shall Jacob stand? for he is small.
â  ðÄçÇí éÀäåÈä, òÇì-æÉàú:  ìÉà úÄäÀéÆä, àÈîÇø éÀäåÈä. 3 The LORD repented concerning this; 'It shall not be', saith the LORD.
ã  ëÌÉä äÄøÀàÇðÄé àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä, åÀäÄðÌÅä ÷ÉøÅà ìÈøÄá áÌÈàÅùÑ àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä; åÇúÌÉàëÇì àÆú-úÌÀäåÉí øÇáÌÈä, åÀàÈëÀìÈä àÆú-äÇçÅìÆ÷. 4 Thus the Lord GOD showed me; and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire; and it devoured the great deep, and would have eaten up the land.
ä  åÈàÉîÇø, àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä çÂãÇì-ðÈà--îÄé éÈ÷åÌí, éÇòÂ÷Éá:  ëÌÄé ÷ÈèÉï, äåÌà. 5 Then said I: O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech Thee; how shall Jacob stand? for he is small.
å  ðÄçÇí éÀäåÈä, òÇì-æÉàú; âÌÇí-äÄéà ìÉà úÄäÀéÆä, àÈîÇø àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä.  {ô} 6 The LORD repented concerning this; 'This also shall not be', saith the Lord GOD. {P}
æ  ëÌÉä äÄøÀàÇðÄé, åÀäÄðÌÅä àÂãÉðÈé ðÄöÌÈá òÇì-çåÉîÇú àÂðÈêÀ; åÌáÀéÈãåÉ, àÂðÈêÀ. 7 Thus He showed me; and, behold, the Lord stood beside a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in His hand.
ç  åÇéÌÉàîÆø éÀäåÈä àÅìÇé, îÈä-àÇúÌÈä øÉàÆä òÈîåÉñ, åÈàÉîÇø, àÂðÈêÀ; åÇéÌÉàîÆø àÂãÉðÈé, äÄðÀðÄé ùÒÈí àÂðÈêÀ áÌÀ÷ÆøÆá òÇîÌÄé éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì--ìÉà-àåÉñÄéó òåÉã, òÂáåÉø ìåÉ. 8 And the LORD said unto me: 'Amos, what seest thou?' And I said: 'A plumbline.' Then said the Lord: Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of My people Israel; I will not again pardon them any more;
è  åÀðÈùÑÇîÌåÌ áÌÈîåÉú éÄùÒÀçÈ÷, åÌîÄ÷ÀãÌÀùÑÅé éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì éÆçÁøÈáåÌ; åÀ÷ÇîÀúÌÄé òÇì-áÌÅéú éÈøÈáÀòÈí, áÌÆçÈøÆá.  {ñ} 9 And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword. {S}
é  åÇéÌÄùÑÀìÇç, àÂîÇöÀéÈä ëÌÉäÅï áÌÅéú-àÅì, àÆì-éÈøÈáÀòÈí îÆìÆêÀ-éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì, ìÅàîÉø:  ÷ÈùÑÇø òÈìÆéêÈ òÈîåÉñ, áÌÀ÷ÆøÆá áÌÅéú éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì--ìÉà-úåÌëÇì äÈàÈøÆõ, ìÀäÈëÄéì àÆú-ëÌÈì-ãÌÀáÈøÈéå. 10 Then Amaziah the priest of Beth-el sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying: 'Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel; the land is not able to bear all his words.
éà  ëÌÄé-ëÉä àÈîÇø òÈîåÉñ, áÌÇçÆøÆá éÈîåÌú éÈøÈáÀòÈí; åÀéÄùÒÀøÈàÅì--âÌÈìÉä éÄâÀìÆä, îÅòÇì àÇãÀîÈúåÉ.  {ñ} 11 For thus Amos saith: Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.' {S}
éá  åÇéÌÉàîÆø àÂîÇöÀéÈä, àÆì-òÈîåÉñ, çÉæÆä, ìÅêÀ áÌÀøÇç-ìÀêÈ àÆì-àÆøÆõ éÀäåÌãÈä; åÆàÁëÈì-ùÑÈí ìÆçÆí, åÀùÑÈí úÌÄðÌÈáÅà. 12 Also Amaziah said unto Amos: 'O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there;
éâ  åÌáÅéú-àÅì, ìÉà-úåÉñÄéó òåÉã ìÀäÄðÌÈáÅà:  ëÌÄé îÄ÷ÀãÌÇùÑ-îÆìÆêÀ äåÌà, åÌáÅéú îÇîÀìÈëÈä äåÌà. 13 but prophesy not again any more at Beth-el, for it is the king's sanctuary, and it is a royal house.'
éã  åÇéÌÇòÇï òÈîåÉñ, åÇéÌÉàîÆø àÆì-àÂîÇöÀéÈä, ìÉà-ðÈáÄéà àÈðÉëÄé, åÀìÉà áÆï-ðÈáÄéà àÈðÉëÄé:  ëÌÄé-áåÉ÷Åø àÈðÉëÄé, åÌáåÉìÅñ ùÑÄ÷ÀîÄéí. 14 Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah: 'I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was a herdman, and a dresser of sycamore-trees;
èå  åÇéÌÄ÷ÌÈçÅðÄé éÀäåÈä, îÅàÇçÂøÅé äÇöÌÉàï; åÇéÌÉàîÆø àÅìÇé éÀäåÈä, ìÅêÀ äÄðÌÈáÅà àÆì-òÇîÌÄé éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì. 15 and the LORD took me from following the flock, and the LORD said unto me: Go, prophesy unto My people Israel.
èæ  åÀòÇúÌÈä, ùÑÀîÇò ãÌÀáÇø-éÀäåÈä:  àÇúÌÈä àÉîÅø, ìÉà úÄðÌÈáÅà òÇì-éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì, åÀìÉà úÇèÌÄéó, òÇì-áÌÅéú éÄùÒÀçÈ÷. 16 Now therefore hear thou the word of the LORD: Thou sayest: Prophesy not against Israel, and preach not against the house of Isaac;
éæ  ìÈëÅï ëÌÉä-àÈîÇø éÀäåÈä, àÄùÑÀúÌÀêÈ áÌÈòÄéø úÌÄæÀðÆä åÌáÈðÆéêÈ åÌáÀðÉúÆéêÈ áÌÇçÆøÆá éÄôÌÉìåÌ, åÀàÇãÀîÈúÀêÈ, áÌÇçÆáÆì úÌÀçËìÌÈ÷; åÀàÇúÌÈä, òÇì-àÂãÈîÈä èÀîÅàÈä úÌÈîåÌú, åÀéÄùÒÀøÈàÅì, âÌÈìÉä éÄâÀìÆä îÅòÇì àÇãÀîÈúåÉ.  {ô} 17 Therefore thus saith the LORD: Thy wife shall be a harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou thyself shalt die in an unclean land, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.' {P}

Chapter 8

à  ëÌÉä äÄøÀàÇðÄé, àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä; åÀäÄðÌÅä, ëÌÀìåÌá ÷ÈéÄõ. 1 Thus the Lord GOD showed me; and behold a basket of summer fruit.
á  åÇéÌÉàîÆø, îÈä-àÇúÌÈä øÉàÆä òÈîåÉñ, åÈàÉîÇø, ëÌÀìåÌá ÷ÈéÄõ; åÇéÌÉàîÆø éÀäåÈä àÅìÇé, áÌÈà äÇ÷ÌÅõ àÆì-òÇîÌÄé éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì--ìÉà-àåÉñÄéó òåÉã, òÂáåÉø ìåÉ. 2 And He said: 'Amos, what seest thou?' And I said: 'A basket of summer fruit.' Then said the LORD unto me: The end is come upon My people Israel; I will not again pardon them any more.
â  åÀäÅéìÄéìåÌ ùÑÄéøåÉú äÅéëÈì, áÌÇéÌåÉí äÇäåÌà--ðÀàËí, àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä:  øÇá äÇôÌÆâÆø, áÌÀëÈì-îÈ÷åÉí äÄùÑÀìÄéêÀ äÈñ.  {ô} 3 And the songs of the palace shall be wailings in that day, saith the Lord GOD; the dead bodies shall be many; in every place silence shall be cast. {P}
ã  ùÑÄîÀòåÌ-æÉàú, äÇùÌÑÉàÂôÄéí àÆáÀéåÉï; åÀìÇùÑÀáÌÄéú, òðåé- (òÂðÄéÌÅé-) àÈøÆõ. 4 Hear this, O ye that would swallow the needy, and destroy the poor of the land,
ä  ìÅàîÉø, îÈúÇé éÇòÂáÉø äÇçÉãÆùÑ åÀðÇùÑÀáÌÄéøÈä ùÌÑÆáÆø, åÀäÇùÌÑÇáÌÈú, åÀðÄôÀúÌÀçÈä-áÌÈø--ìÀäÇ÷ÀèÄéï àÅéôÈä åÌìÀäÇâÀãÌÄéì ùÑÆ÷Æì, åÌìÀòÇåÌÅú îÉàæÀðÅé îÄøÀîÈä. 5 Saying: 'When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell grain? and the sabbath, that we may set forth corn? making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances of deceit;
å  ìÄ÷ÀðåÉú áÌÇëÌÆñÆó ãÌÇìÌÄéí, åÀàÆáÀéåÉï áÌÇòÂáåÌø ðÇòÂìÈéÄí; åÌîÇôÌÇì áÌÇø, ðÇùÑÀáÌÄéø. 6 That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes, and sell the refuse of the corn?'
æ  ðÄùÑÀáÌÇò éÀäåÈä, áÌÄâÀàåÉï éÇòÂ÷Éá; àÄí-àÆùÑÀëÌÇç ìÈðÆöÇç, ëÌÈì-îÇòÂùÒÅéäÆí. 7 The LORD hath sworn by the pride of Jacob: Surely I will never forget any of their works.
ç  äÇòÇì æÉàú ìÉà-úÄøÀâÌÇæ äÈàÈøÆõ, åÀàÈáÇì ëÌÈì-éåÉùÑÅá áÌÈäÌ; åÀòÈìÀúÈä ëÈàÉø ëÌËìÌÈäÌ, åÀðÄâÀøÀùÑÈä åðù÷ä (åÀðÄùÑÀ÷ÀòÈä) ëÌÄéàåÉø îÄöÀøÈéÄí.  {ô} 8 Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwelleth therein? Yea, it shall rise up wholly like the River; and it shall be troubled and sink again, like the River of Egypt. {P}
è  åÀäÈéÈä áÌÇéÌåÉí äÇäåÌà, ðÀàËí àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä, åÀäÅáÅàúÄé äÇùÌÑÆîÆùÑ, áÌÇöÌÈäÃøÈéÄí; åÀäÇçÂùÑÇëÀúÌÄé ìÈàÈøÆõ, áÌÀéåÉí àåÉø. 9 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day.
é  åÀäÈôÇëÀúÌÄé çÇâÌÅéëÆí ìÀàÅáÆì, åÀëÈì-ùÑÄéøÅéëÆí ìÀ÷ÄéðÈä, åÀäÇòÂìÅéúÄé òÇì-ëÌÈì-îÈúÀðÇéÄí ùÒÈ÷, åÀòÇì-ëÌÈì-øÉàùÑ ÷ÈøÀçÈä; åÀùÒÇîÀúÌÄéäÈ ëÌÀàÅáÆì éÈçÄéã, åÀàÇçÂøÄéúÈäÌ ëÌÀéåÉí îÈø.  {ô} 10 And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning for an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day. {P}
éà  äÄðÌÅä éÈîÄéí áÌÈàÄéí, ðÀàËí àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä, åÀäÄùÑÀìÇçÀúÌÄé øÈòÈá, áÌÈàÈøÆõ:  ìÉà-øÈòÈá ìÇìÌÆçÆí, åÀìÉà-öÈîÈà ìÇîÌÇéÄí--ëÌÄé àÄí-ìÄùÑÀîÉòÇ, àÅú ãÌÄáÀøÅé éÀäåÈä. 11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD.
éá  åÀðÈòåÌ îÄéÌÈí òÇã-éÈí, åÌîÄöÌÈôåÉï åÀòÇã-îÄæÀøÈç; éÀùÑåÉèÀèåÌ ìÀáÇ÷ÌÅùÑ àÆú-ãÌÀáÇø-éÀäåÈä, åÀìÉà éÄîÀöÈàåÌ. 12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east; they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.
éâ  áÌÇéÌåÉí äÇäåÌà úÌÄúÀòÇìÌÇôÀðÈä äÇáÌÀúåÌìÉú äÇéÌÈôåÉú, åÀäÇáÌÇçåÌøÄéí--áÌÇöÌÈîÈà. 13 In that day shall the fair virgins and the young men faint for thirst.
éã  äÇðÌÄùÑÀáÌÈòÄéí, áÌÀàÇùÑÀîÇú ùÑÉîÀøåÉï, åÀàÈîÀøåÌ çÅé àÁìÉäÆéêÈ ãÌÈï, åÀçÅé ãÌÆøÆêÀ áÌÀàÅø-ùÑÈáÇò; åÀðÈôÀìåÌ, åÀìÉà-éÈ÷åÌîåÌ òåÉã.  {ñ} 14 They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say: 'As thy God, O Dan, liveth'; and: 'As the way of Beer-sheba liveth'; even they shall fall, and never rise up again. {S}

Chapter 9

à  øÈàÄéúÄé àÆú-àÂãÉðÈé ðÄöÌÈá òÇì-äÇîÌÄæÀáÌÅçÇ, åÇéÌÉàîÆø äÇêÀ äÇëÌÇôÀúÌåÉø åÀéÄøÀòÂùÑåÌ äÇñÌÄôÌÄéí åÌáÀöÇòÇí áÌÀøÉàùÑ ëÌËìÌÈí, åÀàÇçÂøÄéúÈí, áÌÇçÆøÆá àÆäÁøÉâ:  ìÉà-éÈðåÌñ ìÈäÆí ðÈñ, åÀìÉà-éÄîÌÈìÅè ìÈäÆí ôÌÈìÄéè. 1 I saw the Lord standing beside the altar; and He said: Smite the capitals, that the posts may shake; and break them in pieces on the head of all of them; and I will slay the residue of them with the sword; there shall not one of them flee away, and there shall not one of them escape.
á  àÄí-éÇçÀúÌÀøåÌ áÄùÑÀàåÉì, îÄùÌÑÈí éÈãÄé úÄ÷ÌÈçÅí; åÀàÄí-éÇòÂìåÌ, äÇùÌÑÈîÇéÄí--îÄùÌÑÈí, àåÉøÄéãÅí. 2 Though they dig into the nether-world, thence shall My hand take them; and though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down.
â  åÀàÄí-éÅçÈáÀàåÌ áÌÀøÉàùÑ äÇëÌÇøÀîÆì, îÄùÌÑÈí àÂçÇôÌÅùÒ åÌìÀ÷ÇçÀúÌÄéí; åÀàÄí-éÄñÌÈúÀøåÌ îÄðÌÆâÆã òÅéðÇé, áÌÀ÷ÇøÀ÷Çò äÇéÌÈí--îÄùÌÑÈí àÂöÇåÌÆä àÆú-äÇðÌÈçÈùÑ, åÌðÀùÑÈëÈí. 3 And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from My sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them.
ã  åÀàÄí-éÅìÀëåÌ áÇùÌÑÀáÄé ìÄôÀðÅé àÉéÀáÅéäÆí, îÄùÌÑÈí àÂöÇåÌÆä àÆú-äÇçÆøÆá åÇäÂøÈâÈúÇí; åÀùÒÇîÀúÌÄé òÅéðÄé òÂìÅéäÆí ìÀøÈòÈä, åÀìÉà ìÀèåÉáÈä. 4 And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them; and I will set Mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.
ä  åÇàãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä äÇöÌÀáÈàåÉú, äÇðÌåÉâÅòÇ áÌÈàÈøÆõ åÇúÌÈîåÉâ, åÀàÈáÀìåÌ, ëÌÈì-éåÉùÑÀáÅé áÈäÌ; åÀòÈìÀúÈä ëÇéÀàÉø ëÌËìÌÈäÌ, åÀùÑÈ÷ÀòÈä ëÌÄéàÉø îÄöÀøÈéÄí. 5 For the Lord, the GOD of hosts, is He that toucheth the land and it melteth, and all that dwell therein mourn; and it riseth up wholly like the River, and sinketh again, like the River of Egypt;
å  äÇáÌåÉðÆä áÇùÌÑÈîÇéÄí îÇòÂìåÉúÈå, åÇàÂâËãÌÈúåÉ òÇì-àÆøÆõ éÀñÈãÈäÌ; äÇ÷ÌÉøÅà ìÀîÅé-äÇéÌÈí, åÇéÌÄùÑÀôÌÀëÅí òÇì-ôÌÀðÅé äÈàÈøÆõ--éÀäåÈä ùÑÀîåÉ. 6 It is He that buildeth His upper chambers in the heaven, and hath founded His vault upon the earth; He that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth; The LORD is His name.
æ  äÂìåÉà ëÄáÀðÅé ëËùÑÄéÌÄéí àÇúÌÆí ìÄé áÌÀðÅé éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì, ðÀàËí-éÀäåÈä:  äÂìåÉà àÆú-éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì, äÆòÁìÅéúÄé îÅàÆøÆõ îÄöÀøÇéÄí, åÌôÀìÄùÑÀúÌÄéÌÄéí îÄëÌÇôÀúÌåÉø, åÇàÂøÈí îÄ÷ÌÄéø. 7 Are ye not as the children of the Ethiopians unto Me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt, and the Philistines from Caphtor, and Aram from Kir?
ç  äÄðÌÅä òÅéðÅé àÂãÉðÈé éÀäåÄä, áÌÇîÌÇîÀìÈëÈä äÇçÇèÌÈàÈä, åÀäÄùÑÀîÇãÀúÌÄé àÉúÈäÌ, îÅòÇì ôÌÀðÅé äÈàÂãÈîÈä:  àÆôÆñ, ëÌÄé ìÉà äÇùÑÀîÅéã àÇùÑÀîÄéã àÆú-áÌÅéú éÇòÂ÷Éá--ðÀàËí-éÀäåÈä. 8 Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD.
è  ëÌÄé-äÄðÌÅä àÈðÉëÄé îÀöÇåÌÆä, åÇäÂðÄòåÉúÄé áÀëÈì-äÇâÌåÉéÄí àÆú-áÌÅéú éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì, ëÌÇàÂùÑÆø éÄðÌåÉòÇ áÌÇëÌÀáÈøÈä, åÀìÉà-éÄôÌåÉì öÀøåÉø àÈøÆõ. 9 For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all the nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.
é  áÌÇçÆøÆá éÈîåÌúåÌ, ëÌÉì çÇèÌÈàÅé òÇîÌÄé:  äÈàÉîÀøÄéí, ìÉà-úÇâÌÄéùÑ åÀúÇ÷ÀãÌÄéí áÌÇòÂãÅéðåÌ--äÈøÈòÈä. 10 All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword, that say: 'The evil shall not overtake nor confront us.'
éà  áÌÇéÌåÉí äÇäåÌà, àÈ÷Äéí àÆú-ñËëÌÇú ãÌÈåÄéã äÇðÌÉôÆìÆú; åÀâÈãÇøÀúÌÄé àÆú-ôÌÄøÀöÅéäÆï, åÇäÂøÄñÉúÈéå àÈ÷Äéí, åÌáÀðÄéúÄéäÈ, ëÌÄéîÅé òåÉìÈí. 11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof, and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old;
éá  ìÀîÇòÇï éÄéøÀùÑåÌ àÆú-ùÑÀàÅøÄéú àÁãåÉí, åÀëÈì-äÇâÌåÉéÄí, àÂùÑÆø-ðÄ÷ÀøÈà ùÑÀîÄé, òÂìÅéäÆí:  ðÀàËí-éÀäåÈä, òÉùÒÆä æÌÉàú.  {ô} 12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the nations, upon whom My name is called, saith the LORD that doeth this. {P}
éâ  äÄðÌÅä éÈîÄéí áÌÈàÄéí, ðÀàËí-éÀäåÈä, åÀðÄâÌÇùÑ çåÉøÅùÑ áÌÇ÷ÌÉöÅø, åÀãÉøÅêÀ òÂðÈáÄéí áÌÀîÉùÑÅêÀ äÇæÌÈøÇò; åÀäÄèÌÄéôåÌ äÆäÈøÄéí òÈñÄéñ, åÀëÈì-äÇâÌÀáÈòåÉú úÌÄúÀîåÉâÇâÀðÈä. 13 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.
éã  åÀùÑÇáÀúÌÄé, àÆú-ùÑÀáåÌú òÇîÌÄé éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì, åÌáÈðåÌ òÈøÄéí ðÀùÑÇîÌåÉú åÀéÈùÑÈáåÌ, åÀðÈèÀòåÌ ëÀøÈîÄéí åÀùÑÈúåÌ àÆú-éÅéðÈí; åÀòÈùÒåÌ âÇðÌåÉú, åÀàÈëÀìåÌ àÆú-ôÌÀøÄéäÆí. 14 And I will turn the captivity of My people Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
èå  åÌðÀèÇòÀúÌÄéí, òÇì-àÇãÀîÈúÈí; åÀìÉà éÄðÌÈúÀùÑåÌ òåÉã, îÅòÇì àÇãÀîÈúÈí àÂùÑÆø ðÈúÇúÌÄé ìÈäÆí--àÈîÇø, éÀäåÈä àÁìÉäÆéêÈ.  {ù} 15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be plucked up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God. {P}
