NET Command Syntax Chart
You must include all punctuation (except braces, brackets and bars) such as periods, equal signs, forward slashes and backslashes, where illustrated in the syntax. NET PRNSETUPThis command enables each user to use different sets of printer set-up codes while sharing a network printer. Using this command, you may specify a file that contains up to 64 bytes of printer set-up codes. Each time you start a print job, these codes are sent to the network printer before the print data is printed. Syntax: NET PRNSETUP {device} {filename.ext} The following command uses the printer set-up codes in the file PRNCODES.DAT to configure LPT1: NET PRNSETUP LPT1 PRNCODES.DAT All print jobs sent to the network printer associated with LPT1, will be preceded by the printer set-up codes assigned to LPT1. You may cancel the NET PRNSETUP command using the /d parameter. Syntax: NET PRNSETUP {device} /d The following command clears the previous printer set-up codes assigned to LPT1: NET PRNSETUP LPT1 /d The {device} may be PRN, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3 or LPT4. Each {device} may be assigned a different set of printer set-up codes. The maximum length of the set-up string is 64 bytes. If the specified file is larger than 64 bytes, only the first 64 bytes are used. The {device} must be redirected to a network printer using the NET USE command or the Station Manager.
