Conferencing Booking Infrastructure

With this joint use of facilities for National projects and for MICE, we expect considerable difficulties in booking conferences, linking in participants, in ensuring privacy, and in configuring network resources. We expect that one of the tasks will be to facilitate this style of activity by extensive use of X.500 Directory Services - where the PARADISE [20] infrastructure could provide considerable assistance - and an email-based calendar system and file store (MESSIE) [21].
