Myrhythm - MIDI Rhythm Composer

Description: Myrhythm MIDI Rhythm Composer is a simple tool, which allows creating and editing MIDI drum loops with up to 16 percussion tracks. Each track has own loop and volume controls. You can edit MIDI drum loop files created by the Myrhythm only (due to special MIDI text events included). To present any MIDI drum loop pattern as text file convenient for the Myrhythm input use add-on Drumextract tool.

Examle drum loops:   1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

Supported platforms: Tested on Windows NT4/2000/XP.

Usage notes:

1. Myrhythm concept

• Each percussion track has fixed volume.
• Each percussion track consists of cycle sequence.
• Each cycle sequence can start from any composition bar.
• Each cycle can repeat number of times.
• Each cycle groups from 1 up to 16 bars.
• Each cycle bar can be enabled or disabled.
• Each bar consists of 16 beats.
• Composition Tempo parameter defined as number of microseconds per quarter note (or two beats).

2. Drumextract tool command string usage

drumextract reggae.mid > reggae.txt
will create the reggae.txt as below:

Where columns:
1 - percussion track number
2 - MIDI percussion instrument standard number (from 35 to 81)
3 - volume from "piano pianissimo" to "forte fortissimo" (ppp, pp, p, mp, m, mf, f, ff, fff)
4 - percussion beats (16 per bar)

Installation: Unzip the download file into desired folder and create shortcut to myrhythm.exe into startup menu or desktop.
