Patch Installation Instructions: -------------------------------- Refer to the Install.info file for instructions on using the generic 'installpatch' and 'backoutpatch' scripts provided with each patch. Any other special or non-generic installation instructions should be described below as special instructions. Special Install Instructions: ----------------------------- Due to the high number of large executables that are replaced, the partition that contains /var currently requires just over 30Meg of free working space to install on Solaris 2.5, and 20Meg on Solaris 2.4 and earlier. In the end it requires about 15Meg for 2.5 and 7Meg for 2.4 and earlier. This is to preserve the executables that are overwritten so that the patch can be backed out. If this space is not available the patch will successfully install, but will not be able to use backoutpatch to backout the patch. Instead, if the patch needs backed out, the packages will have to be pkgrm'd, then pkgadd'd. Patch Installation Instructions: --------------------------------------------------
