Couldn't Sleep
First released at Breakpoint 2006, Germany

William-Adolph Bouguereau was possibly the most renowned realist painter of the 19th century.
The Art Renewal Center (www.artrenewal.org) was founded with the goal to decide what is art and what is not. According to their philosophy, art exclusively is realist paintings and statues. They renounce the value of genres such as impressionism and surrealism, artists such as Van Gogh and Dali. The Art Renewal Center selected Bouguereau, himself also against impressionism, as one of their paragons. According to them, every piece of art should be like a Bouguereau painting.
It is a captivating opportunity, given this context, to employ Bouguereau's masterpieces in an impressionist rendering algorithm.
