The IETF has a limited number of liaison relationships with other organizations. Liaisons are appointed by the IAB when the IAB feels that conditions warrent appointing a specific person to such a task. Note that such appointments are rare as the best way for organizations to work with the IETF is to do so within the working groups. The primary contact on liaison negotiation is the IAB. The list of liaisons appears below: IAB Bert Wijnen ISO/IEC JTC1 SC2 Pete Resnick ISO/IEC JTC1 SC6 Allison Mankin ISO/IEC JTC1 SC29 Stephen Casner ATM Forum Andy Malis ITU-T Scott Bradner Unicode Patrik Faltstrom W3C Leslie Daigle WIPO Patrik Faltstrom 3GPP Thomas Narten 3GPP2 Thomas Narten RSSAC Rob Austein IEEE 802 Dan Romascanu (hubmib WG) Liaison to ICANN Board of Directors: John Klensin ICANN Technical Liaison Group: Geoff Huston Mike St Johns ITU-T SG and WP Liaisons The agreement for ITU-IETF interworking (RFC 2436) does not require designated representatives to conduct regular business; most interactions occur directly at the WG (or WP) level). Representatives are designated for specific ITU-T-related meetings when that seems appropriate, but only for one meeting or sequence of meetings.
