Short: Raytrace of Sky Floating Images (HAM/JPEG) Architecture: generic This surreal image was created on an Amiga 2000 computer equipped with a 68030 accelerator and 8 megs of RAM. It was raytraced in 30 mins with the Amiga program Imagine v2.0 using Steve Worley's Essence textures. The images include my other raytraces forum, imagine, starland, and museum. Also included is an Ansel Adams photo of Yosemite in winter, a raytrace done on a Cray for Apple computer, and one of my original digitized slides of an indian woman in a South American market. The illusion of a rough ocean was obtained by chance using a cork bump map and a blue granite brush and global map.The final 640x480x24bit image was converted to Targa format and reduced to a JPEG file or a 256 color GIF file. In the case of Amiga viewing, it was converted to HAM interlace overscan for those without a 24bit graphic card (preferred viewing option). Check out my other traces on the Internet: forum, starland.imagine, and museum. Don Hirschfeld Mt. View, CA DonH@cup.portal.com 12/30/92
