Short: YAMFax1.2 TPC-Mail2Fax Client for YAM Author: dobbin@thenet.co.uk (Dobbin) Uploader: dobbin thenet co uk (Dobbin) Type: comm/misc Architecture: m68k-amigaos Distribution: any Copyright: dobbin@thenet.co.uk (Dobbin) NOTES Now everyone can send faxes straight from their Amiga... and the best part is... you don't even need an actual fax machine, or even a fax-capable modem! :) YAMFax...? Simple MUI-based snapin for YAM 1.3 and upwards to allow you to easily compose messages for the TPC IDDD Mail2Fax gateway server. Just launch YAMFax, type in the name and fax number of the person, and hit okay. A new mail window will open in YAM with the address string already composed and ready for you to type in (or attach as an RTF doc) your fax message. Hit send in YAM, and that's it, you've just sent a fax. TPC's server will mail you back (usually within 30 minutes) to tell you whether or not it managed to deliver your fax. The only restrictions are that you can /only/ use this tool in the UK and /only/ send to fax machines also in the UK. Also, you can send no more than 15 fax messages in any given hour, and no more than 25-a-week in total. INSTALLATION Just run the Setup program, this copies the YAMFax exe to C:, and the Arexx scripts to YAM:Rexx. You can run "YAMFax" from CLI, or better still, stick it on your ToolsDaemon menu, or on your ScreenTab menu. You can also launch YAMFax from YAM's own Rexx menu by adding a line like... RexxMenu0 = YAM:Rexx/YAMFax.Rexx ...to your ".config" file in the YAM directory. Just change the 0 to the first available number (if you already have anything on YAM's Rexx menu). COPYRIGHT AND DISTRIBUTION Do anything you like with this except make any money out of it. This package is distributed as LOYALTYWARE, this means that if you use this package, you agree that you will be loyal to the Amiga, and will willingly shoot yourself before you sell out and become a PC luser! >:) Have fun, Dobbin -- "Amiga or die, it's as simple as that."
