Short: Arexx script for converting hotlist entries to Voyager format Author: secrd2@gate.net (Scott Tribbey) Uploader: secrd2 gate net (Scott Tribbey) Type: comm/tcp Architecture: m68k-amigaos TITLE HL2Voyager Freeware AUTHOR Scott Tribbey secrd2@gate.net DESCRIPTION I'll keep this short... If, like me you have been using Amosaic for a while, you may have built up quite a few entries in your hotlist (I was up to about 250). After switching to Voyager, I dreaded the task of copying my hotlist entries over to Voyager, so I made this simple little Arexx program to do it for me. WHAT IT DOES ============================= It converts all your Mosaic hotlist entries and groups into Voyager hotlists entries and groups and appends them to the end of your existing Voyager hotlist. It converts WWW, ftp and news addresses. Local html files are up to you to convert. It even cleans up all that date and article stuff that Amosaic would tack onto the address. USAGE ==================================== 1:> Usage: rx HL2Voyager HL2Voyager will print all of it's activities to the shell where you started it so you won't get bored. When it's done you will have a new Voyager hotlist file with .new tacked onto the end. Just rename your existing Voyager hotlist and replace it with this new one (minus the .new) and away you go! Saved me tons of time. NOTE: Just in case you have any problems, it's a really good idea to make backup copies of both your Amosaic and Voyager hotlists. That's all there is to it. :-)
